Join Aliana MT and Lauren Powell Projects Sunset Hiking Club for a VISIBLE MENDING Darning Workshop hike in Griffith Park! (approximately 2.5 miles to the top).

We’ll delve into the art of mending and learn valuable skills to breathe new life into well loved garments. Bring your own clothes that need some TLC and we’ll learn the intricate process of using a speedweave, a versatile tool for repairing fabrics. With hands-on demonstrations and personalized instruction, each participant will gain confidence in darning their own garment, transforming it from worn to uniquely adorned. As a special bonus, attendees will receive a speedweave kit to take home so you can continue your mending journey long after the workshop.

The hike will begin at a location to be shared closer to, and take us up the Berlin Forest, just north of Griffith Park Observatory via the Fern Dell Trail. For those not keen on hiking, please feel free to drive up and park in the Observatory Parking Lot, and meet us in the Berlin Forest around 4:15PM (a walk less than 5 minutes).
